A blend of Viognier and Roussanne expressing a delicate white peach nose in a richly weighty wine.
Peach, citrus and herbal notes
These grapes were grown at Lonesome Spring Ranch just outside Benton City, Washington.
The Viognier was fermented in small steel barrels to preserve aromatics and was not allowed to go through malolactic fermentation. The Roussanne was fermented in neutral wood and was taken through malolactic fermentation to add complexity and weight.
The final blend was one-third Viognier, two-thirds Roussane.
Alcohol 15%
August 2009: Highly aromatic with a complex citrus herbal mid body. The finish accents the mineral, herbal tone of the Roussanne.
