Highly aromatic with complex citrus notes
Melon de Bourgogne from the Willamette Valley was blended with Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay from Washington’s Columbia Valley.
Of interest, the Melon is from Eyrie Vineyards and is a different clone from most Melons. Very strong mineral and citrus rind characters predominate. The Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc are from Lonesome Springs Ranch in the Columbia Valley.
All wines were fermented in neutral wood, lees stirred every 2 weeks, and underwent malolactic fermentation.
400 cases produced.
The aromas are rich with tropical fruits, pineapple and a hint of lychee, leading
into a rich and complex mid-palate of citrus and mineral edginess. The finish has a lovely lemon butter character.
The aroma is all about pears and vanilla leading into a strong mid-palate of herbal and citrus notes. The finish is rich with grapefruit oils and butter.
