Exceptionally small yields in 2004 resulted in a wine of unusual intensity. It is filled with black cherry and plum tones, with a hint of cedar. Ripe tannins balance the fruit and leave a long, smooth finish.

A light fruit set led to very low yields. Harvested over the first 2 weeks of October; Brix 24 to 26, TA 0.4 to 0.7. Two-thirds wild yeast fermented, one-third cultured yeast fermented. 30% new wood from five different French cooperages. 10 months in barrel. Press wine from the Dijon 115 excluded from the final blend.
Just over 800 cases produced. Alcohol 14.5%
