Currently, our wines are available for sale at the WineWorks Oregon tasting room in McMinnville, OR, and through select retailers. If you are interested in ordering our wines, please email us at info@zivowines.com. If you live in a state where our licensing and current laws allow direct shipment, we will be happy to fulfill and ship your order. If not, we will do our best to direct you to a retailer where you can purchase our wines.
Laws governing the shipment of wine vary from state to state and are changing constantly. We regret to say that some states still make it a crime to ship wine to their residents, and most restrict the quantity of wine we may ship to you.
The good news is that on May 16, 2005, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled to support direct wine shipments from wineries and retailers to consumers. Thirty-three states now allow interstate, winery-to-consumer direct shipments, and several more are in the process of creating the legal mechanisms to do so.
The bad news is that wineries must now comply with a patchwork of often onerous state regulations enacted by vested interests that accompany implementation of direct shipping legislation.
Tax compliance is challenging for many small producers because of the unique structure in each state. As a boutique producer with limited inventory and manpower, the costs associated with compliance and requirements make it difficult to justify establishing a presence in each newly opened state.
